Wedding Cakes!

Wedding Cakes are grand aren't they not only in size and taste but in stature as well. It's true newlyweds save the top tier of their wedding cake and consume it on their first anniversary how many of the "decorations" (in a word) are saved that long after the wedding. Surely the flowers have wilted, they may have been pressed, unlikely though, and, the hors d'oeuvres and entrees are not able to be saved, all these things married couples spend so much time and money on that last only a few hours. I think you get my point but if you don't I will clear it up a little further the cake, or on some occasions cakes, are a center piece on display from the beginning of the reception so people can admire the decoration and grow wonder through out the entire evening about what delicious sweet flavors are underneath all that decoration.

Now after knowing all the importance of a wedding cake wouldn't you not only want at delicious cake but a beautiful cake that people just awe over. Don't you want to be the person everyone asks where you got your wedding cake from because it was so magnificent, well if this sound like something you are interested in then you should contact me! I make beautiful and delicious cakes. I can make you any flavor desired from basic chocolate and vanilla to the ever popular lemon or pineapple; also I can use various filling in your cake, do different flavors for different layer, but most important I can make your cake stand out in a room. I will frost your cake in buttercream or any flavor desired and if you want elegant I can use fondant too. I make beautiful flowers, can do intricate lace work, make ribbons, whatever you heart, or shall I say palate, desires.

A Few Yummy Creations

I just wanted to let my readers in on some of my desserts. Here are a few pictures of my yummy treats. All of my desserts are 100% homemade, there is no Betty Crocker cheating involved, so I hope you like the pictures of these treats!

The top two photos of the pies are of my homemade "summertime cherry pie" and my "all american apple pie." This is the a delicious cherry pie that leaves the taste of summertime on your tongue. The apple pie is a reminder of all things american, a perfect treat for the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and any other occasion to please your taste. Both of these pies can be made with a double crust as is shown in the pictures or with a crumb crust. I also make other flavored pies, such as blueberry, peach, french apple, pumpkin, and any other flavor that would please you, just contact me with what you would like.

The bottom photo is of a variety of danishes, these flakey danishes are filled with fruit fillings, cheese, and a unique sweet almond filling. These danishes are a great treat for a party or a shower. The variety of different flavors is a crowd pleaser and the sizes of these are perfect for people to munch on and enjoy!

I am Deanna Latgis. I decorate and create delicious desserts everyday for my enjoyment and others delights. I just graduated from the Baltimore International College culinary school with a Baking and Pastry Arts degree. While attending school i studied abroad and had the opportunity to work at the Virginia Park Hotel in Ireland. At school I learned how to create elegant wedding cakes, classical french pastries, showpiece displays, and many other mouth watering treats.
